Z. Uğur Işıklar, M.D.

Z. Uğur Işıklar was born in 1961. He attended Hacettepe Medical Faculty between 1979-1985. Upon graduation he completed his Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Residency training at Ankara University Medical Faculty Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He succeded in FMGEMS (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medical Sciences ), he was accepted to Baylor College Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Houston, Texas, USA to begin his subspecialty training as a Clinical Fellow. He passed FLEX (Federation Licensing Examination ) while practicing in Houston. He completed Adult Reconstructive (Joint Replacement), Orthopedic Trauma fellowships. He became an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in 1998, in 1999 returned back to Baylor College of Medicine to update on Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery. He became a full Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in 2008. He is still an active participant in national and international educational activities.
He specializes in Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Surgery, Complex Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Implant Related Infections. He is fluent in English.
